After completing the quick test to open your mind - where are you on the map? I scored Strategy 3 (S3), for all but three questions.   Over the past six weeks, I have learned many new strategies about leadership.  However, based on the assessment, I would not have answered the questions any differently.  This does not mean I will not apply all of the newfound techniques, concepts and theories.  Inherently, I am the type of leader who enables others while I provide a supportive role. I have earned the trust of my subordinates to know when they need me to advocate for them or provide top cover. I agree with ( Obolensky, 2014) S3 is typical for when a leader does not know the answers.  I often do not know the answer to problems my crew faces when on counter narcotics or migrant interdictions.  The breadth of technical skills and knowledge is gained from many years of training and experience for personnel with a wide variety of skillsets.  The signifi...
